I make big babies.
Must be a gift.
Or it could be the gestational diabetes test that I DADGUM FLUNKED AGAIN!
Oh well.
The babes each weigh a little over 2 lbs and are incredibly active AT ALL TIMES. It is a rarity to not have movement going on in there at any given moment. And if they do settle down, Big Brother will come scream into my tummy, "HEY BABIES!! HEY BABIES!!" and the bouncing begins again.
I am 26 weeks (6 1/2 months) though am measuring 34 weeks (8 1/2 months) and I surely feel every bit of 8 1/2 months preggers. Even had a lady at the hardware store today say, "Woooo, you sure look like you're about to pop!" When I told her thanks for the endearing compliment but I still had 2+ months to go, her mouth fell open.
Love that honesty of a pure stranger.
It's hard to see the babies in the ultrasounds as they get bigger because it's just one big smushed area. We can see parts of each of them, but getting a good picture of each of their full body's is harder since they're scrunched. So we end up seeing Baby Girl's legs and Baby Boy's head in the same picture. We did get to see a cute picture of Baby Girl resting her head on Baby Boy's chest - of course separated by a membrane of something or other. It was sweet.
Now we're on to the every 2-week appointments and keeping good checks on the blood sugar so these babies don't grow to be 10 pounders....each.
